LORI MOODY: SPEAKER | TEACHER
Lori Moody is a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and women’s leader. She is married to the love of her life, Scott Moody. For 37 years they have shared life and ministry. Scott currently teaches at Luther Rice College and Seminary as Professor of Preaching, after having served 36 years as a senior pastor.

Lori presently serves on the Women’s Ministry Leadership Team of the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention. Also, she and her husband have partnered with Double Honor ministries to lead retreats that encourage those who lead in the church. She speaks to women’s groups at the denominational level and the local church through conferences, retreats, and banquets. Lori enjoys speaking and ministering on occasion with her daughter, Lauren Rowell.
Lori’s love for God’s Word grew initially through her daily discipleship in the Word and later through more structured teaching opportunities as a Sunday School teacher in women’s classes. It’s her joy to study the Bible alongside other women in formal and informal gatherings.
She has a Masters in Family and Consumer Sciences from Lamar University and an Advanced Certificate in Women’s Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Recently, Lori’s writing was included in a portion of the book, Join the Insanity: Crazy-Fun Life in the Pastors' Wives Club by Rhonda Rhea.
Lori and her husband, Scott, live in Southeast Texas where you might find her playing with her grandchildren, reading, crocheting, or preparing to minister when called upon.
